Sharing an altered project...

This is what I made the kids teachers for teacher appreciation a couple weeks ago.  Our PTA really goes all out with fun events and pampering for the teachers, but I always try to do a special gift from each of the kids as well.  DS picked these papers for his teacher all by himself.  I painted the clipboard with magnetic paint (four coats) so they could use magnets on it, but even with that many coats of paint, only the really strong magnets worked...ahhhh well!!!  I glued some little sticky note tabs on the top and a note pad on the side.  I also put some of the pp inside the pen to make it match as well.  Threw on a matching sharpie and it was good to go.  The teachers loved them, I actually got 3 notes from one of the teachers telling me how much she loved it (so nice).

Technical Difficulties!

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!  Nothing is more frustrating than having technical difficulties and it seems that I have been having more than my fair share for the past week.  It started last Monday night when all of a sudden my internet stopped working.  I gave it sometime....but to make a 3 day story much shorter....lol...there was a problem with my wireless router and modem.  Not sure how it can be working great one second and then just boom....all done!!  But that's what happened.  It took me until late last week to get it all figured out between calling ISP support and the wirless router support.

Now THIS week, CS2 seems to be giving me problems.  Not sure what is going on!  It seems though, that after it has been open for a bit, it won't save (which is always fun).   Technical difficulties are always sooo very frustrating!!!

AI, goals, and new find

Is anyone else nervous to watch AI tonight???  I am!!  My lil' sis decided today that we can't talk about it anymore because she gets too fired up about it, lol!  I will be sad to see whoever goes tonight!  However, I just really hope the final two are Elliot and Taylor (sorry, sis).

I have set some scrapping goals for myself!  I am not an event scrapper.  I don't enjoy scrapping events much at all.  I would rather scrap moments.  I realize, though that they are both important to scrap.  So, since I am held up here on my bed for the next few months, I decided that I needed to make it as productive as possible.  My goal is to finish scrapping our last two vacations and possible some other events (bdays, Christmas, etc.).  We will see, but I for sure want to scrap the vacations.  Growing up, my family didn't have a huge house, we didn't have a big toys like some of the neighbors but we did go on lots of vacations.  We still like to talk and laugh about those memories from those vacations.  It is so fun now, to hear my own kids say, "Remember when.....?" and talk about something from a vacation we went on.  I want to scrap those fun memories but sometimes it seems like an overwhelming task....probably because I take so many dang photos while on said vacations!!!  LOL!!!

So now, I'm off to Sweet Shoppe Designs to spend a little money.  I have a few kits that have been sitting in my cart for a few days by Mindy AND I just saw the YUMMY kit below that I MUST have!!!  Remember, I am digging orange and pink this season....lol.   PLUS it's for a good cause!!!

Summerfying

I'm trying to "Summerfy" the blog here a little...I am really digging orange and pink together this season, not sure why...lol but I LOVE the color combo!!  We are slowly starting to see the signs of SUMMER at my house, which is very, very exciting!  Makes me wish I could hang out in the sun and play with the kids!

American Idol.....ugh!  What a heart-breaker that was on Tuesday night!!!!  I really thought that Katherine should have been the one to go...she's good, but she doesn't always choose the right songs and her nerves seem to often get the best of her during performances, which is too bad, but that's all part of the competition.  I think the other 3 guys were better in that respect than her.  And CHRIS of all people!!  I was really hoping to see Elliot and Chris as the final two....now I'm hoping for Taylor and Elliot.  Someone in the 'PUB' posted this article from the NY Post about how the voting could have turned out the way it did...pretty interesting read.  Let's hope he is right!!

Mother's Day is tomorrow and I have to admit...it is the most dreaded holiday for me!!!  I just never know what to expect for sure and worry about it so much.  I really wish that I had a better attitude about it, but I don't.  Apparently, though, as I talk to friends, I'm not alone.

I recently purchased these photo actions from Tina (lilpickle) and I LOVE them.  I have quite a few B&W actions that I have collected and these are by far the BEST!!!  There is also a pastel vibe that is AWESOME!!  I could play with these all day long!  They come as a set.  The photo in the LO below was done with the pastel vibe.  Tina's work is AMAZING!!!!

NSD!!

I am sooo very excited about National Scrapbook Day!!!  There are going to be fun things all over the world wide digital web!!!  I can't wait!!  This will be my first year getting to participate as a digital girl because I have had things going on in the past.  Well, this year, I HAVE to stay home, so I get to participate!  I am hoping to catch some fun chats and good sales!!!
