One year ago...

One year ago today, my family was enjoying the warm tropical sunhine on Maui.....oh how I wish I were there today...lol!!!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

In an instant...

Life is very fragile!  I have had more reminders of that in the last year and half than I would care to...lol.  Today was one of those moments.  I had spent the morning wondering how I was going to get everything done that I needed to as I hurried to get the kids out the door for school.  In an instant (because that's all it takes) I was reminded that life is fragile.  We never really know how much time we have.  Everyone is fine THANK HEAVENS!!!  But every mom's worst nightmare happened to me today. Suddenly that laundry wasn't so important and the clutter piling up in the kitchen was no big deal!  So go hug your babies tight, tell them why you love them, because none of us know for sure when it will change!  This is what matters most to me....

Funny story...

I needed to share this funny story!  I drive a minivan...okay...there I said it...lol!  I feel like I'm at an ALANON meeting...lol!  Much to my dh's disappointment, a minivan is not nor has it ever been my dream car (that was a shocking realization for him...lol).  But, it is practical, so that's what I drive.  Yesterday, dh was in a car accident on the freeway and his car is not really drivable.  DH is FINE (thank heavens).  So, today he had to drive my car.  DS and DH went to run some errands this afternoon and they saw some guys they know and ds said, "Dad, make sure you tell them what happened to your car so they don't think you drive a minivan!"  ROFL!!!!  LOVE it!!!
